A Line Wayuu Love

Each A-Line Wayuu Love mochila and tote bag is handmade by the indigenous Wayuu women of Northern Colombia and hand-picked by our founder, Aline, as she travels to Colombia every 2-4 months. As a social enterprise, A-Line Wayuu Love is deeply committed to elevating the lives of the artisans we work with and their communities. Our commitment to giving back is woven into the fabric of our brand, as we purchase each bag directly from the artisans at fair market prices, and then invest a portion of our proceeds back into their communities

The Mochila bags themselves are each a beautiful piece of art, and reflect the spirit and passion of the weaver, using colour and pattern to tell the stories of the hands that made it. This knowledge and of weaving is passed down from generation to generation among the Wayuu women and girls, preserving their way of life and traditional values. Making and selling these bags is the most important source of income and way of survival in these communities in the harsh deserts, and is a true testament to these womens resilience, work ethic and brilliance. The highly durable, machine-washable Mochila bags takes up to a month to complete, while the large tote bags can take anywhere from 2-3 months.
